PASTOR GREG
Greg Richardson, Ph.D., is the founding Pastor of LifeLine Church of the High Desert.
Pastor Greg describes his early life as tumultuous and says he was on the path to destruction before becoming a Christian.
Pastor Greg was raised by a single parent who instilled values in him that he later applied in his career as an engineer and teacher.
He started his professional journey in aerospace, where he honed his analytical and critical thinking skills. Later, as an educator, he further developed his communication skills, which helped him to understand people better. As a former teacher, principal, and professor in the High Desert, he continues to positively impact on the community.
Therefore, with his solid foundation as an accomplished Biblical scholar, Pastor Greg can provide insightful answers to questions related to life and godliness. He believes that God created him to assist others and says, "I want people to know that there is someone who truly understands and knows how to help them succeed in diverse areas."
DR. ELAINE
Elaine Richardson, Psy D, is a psychologist, the Co-Pastor and the first member of LifeLine Church of the High Desert.
Dr. Elaine's parents raised her in the church. "My life revolved around going to church ever since I was a little girl," Dr. Elaine said. "But I did not create a personal relationship with God until I became a teenager."
She says has "lived" and "breathed" ministry her entire life. She has decades ofshe experience working in ministry, as a psychologist, and as a university professor. It is fair to say Dr. Elaine is a "lifelong learner" when it comes to building and fostering a strong community of faith.
While it may sound intuitive to some, Dr. Elaine says, "Most people do not care to hear others out, especially whenever people have differing opinions. People just want to be heard and valued. That does not mean you have to change your opinion or approach to an issue." By always having an open ear, Dr. Elaine says that she fosters an environment at LifeLine Church of the High Desert that most consider welcoming.
Dr. Elaine is married to Pastor Greg. She and her husband are the proud parents of five adult children, twenty-two grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
